William “Bill” Norman Baillie, 88, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 24, 2022. Bill was born on Feb. 10, 1934, in Hanna, Wyo. to Frank and Jean (Johnson) Baillie. He lived in Wyoming and California (1941-1944) until drafted in 1954, and married JoAnn Thorburn in 1956. Using the GI Bill he received a BS in Geology at the University of Wyoming, and an MS at the University of Idaho. He worked in uranium mines and at the Colorado School of Mines Research Foundation. He would then become an Account Executive in the securities business for 38 years. Bill lived in the Pueblo area since 1994.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn. He is survived by his sister, Kay Fisher of Powell, Wyo.; special friends, James and Saundy Sullivan; and the residents in the Primrose community.

We have just learned of the passing of our dear friend Bill. We had almost 50 years of good times with Bill and Joanne. He was a kind and generous man with a fulfilled life. We mourn his loss. Joseph and JoAnne
My Aunt Peggy from Alabama just informed me of Bill Baillie’s passing. We are all Baillie’s (this spelling is rare). We appreciate his service and he will always be a Honored Veteran.
