W. Carol Hires passed away on October 26, 2017 at 75 years of age. She was born on October 9, 1942 to John Richardson and E. Louise Lewis. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Shriver; sons, Scott Romine (wife Lynnette) and John Romine (wife Lori); her grandchildren, Christopher Fennell (wife Casey), Jonathan Shriver (wife Jamie), Rachel Huver (husband Ben), Danielle Romine, Jessica Romine and Luke Romine; great-grandchildren, Cobi, Caleb and Caitlyn Fennell; sisters, Mary Lou Hobbs and Katy Rose; and close family friends, Byron, Carol, LeAnn and Carl Ecker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard Hires and grandson, Jeffrey Fennell. She retired from her career at King Soopers after many years and enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. A service will be held on November 2, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Montgomery and Steward Chapel.

Carol, I am going to miss you terribly. We have been friends for 45 years. I know you are now with Maynard. I don’t know what I am going to do without you. Your family is like my family and I love them dearly. I will be there for them whenever needed.
