Timothy Byron Cline

January 23, 1957 – December 2, 2025

It is with profound sadness that the family of Timothy Byron Cline, age 68, announces his unexpected passing on December 2, 2025, in Pueblo, Colorado.

He left behind sisters, Eve (Rusty) Papish of Colorado Springs, CO, and Ellen (Luke) Nelson of Salida, CO; brothers, John Cline of Mesa, AZ, and Matt Cline of Colorado Springs, CO; nephew, Kyle Meier; niece, Chelsea Meier; and two grandnephews, Damion Kyro Ulloa and Devon Kashious Bobian.

Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Shirley Cline.

Tim was born on January 23, 1957, in Pueblo, Colorado, where he was raised and lived. He also made a home in Florence, Arizona.

Tim was a devoted son, a wonderful brother, and a devout Catholic. He was eclectic, curious, creative, kind, and private. Tim was adventurous and witty with a unique sense of humor. He loved music, musical instruments, and was well-read. He was a writer and had several unpublished novels.

Swimming was a passion for Tim. He also enjoyed early morning walkabouts in Pueblo.

Tim had a great eye for art. He loved going to thrift stores, searching for eye-catching framed art, and bringing them home to display. He also dabbled in watercolor painting himself.

Throughout his younger years he worked in Hawaii briefly and did an immersion in Costa Rica to learn Spanish.

Intelligent and sensitive, Tim had a Master of Arts Education from the University of Colorado Boulder. He retired in 2009 from Mesa Elementary School in the Boulder Valley School District where he was an ICAN (intensive classroom for autism and neurodiversity) special education teacher.

Tim will be greatly missed. Sic itur ad astra dear Tim. (Thus one goes to the stars)

Funeral service, 10 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2025, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery.

  1. CandleImageI have two learning disability children coming to visit me today they’re 34-year-old twins the victims of blood alcohol syndrome. I can’t wait to meet them and what I read about Tim spending his life to voted to those dear folks. People like Timothy pay attention to them and that makes them known. I would send flowers but there isn’t any easy way to do that with Montgomery and Stewart. They’re my funeral home but they don’t have an easy way to click on something and send a bunch of food or flowers. Oak lawn where we’ll be buried has an easy way to send remembrances. Well I sent about $12,000 to each one of those companies. So here’s to the memory of Tim. From a guy who wished he’d known him.
