Guestbook

  1. Linda Towne from the Friends church just messaged me about Steve. I saw him several times between 1997-2000 when I came to Pueblo from Kansas City and then we lost contact. Knew him since 1966 from the church. Always did like him. Awhile back I was wondering about him and now this news.

  2. I just heard from Linda Towne, that Steve had passed. Go back to 1966 at the Friends Church. I saw him several times 1997-2000 when I came to Pueblo from Kansas City.

  3. My chemo buddy, your smile and your kind words were so encouraging. Thanks to you and Linda for inviting us to church. My husband loves it there. I’ll see you in heaven, brother. You were a blessing to us.

  4. What a great loss. Steve Wilson and his family’s hosted events in the summers and for Halloween were some of the brightest times of me and my brother’s childhood and of my life. It was very nice to get to escape away for a day and night every year and have something wonderful to look forward to. My brother had cancer and ran into Steve at the cancer part of the hospital and was encouraged by him there. We’ve lost a very kind, creative, and faithful man. Enjoy glory and the eternal life in Jesus Christ, Stephen Wilson.

  5. Linda and family , so sorry to hear this. Steve is a great guy , loved playing softball with him.
Praying that you will find comfort as you trust God in this time.

  6. Michael E. Garcia
You are already being missed. I will see you again when it is my time to sail to the beach of Heaven.

  7. Steve, Ronny Passero and I ran the streets of Kickapoo in the early 60’s. We had a lot of fun. He was a good kid. I’m sorry I didn’t know him as adults. RIP Steve!!!

    • HA! I remember the Adams Family on Kickapoo road. Cousins to the Melitos, No?
And Ronny Passero and his ol man.
Those were the days. Street football and dodging Ronny.
      Street tough, back then.
Hope all is well with you and yours,Carl…

      • Stevie lived up the block from my family on Kickapoo. I remember getting to know him while playing football in the street with Chuckie Fletcher, Richard Martinez, the Marez boys, my brother, Tom and others. Those were some of the best times ever on the block.
Steve went on to play highschool ball at East and contributed to a team that made the playoffs for the first time.
I lost track of Steve after those early years, but remember him as ‘One of the Guys from the block’.

Walk the Wheat Fields in peace, Stevie. You carried yourself well on this earth…

  8. CandleImageMy sincere condolences to the entire Wilson family. It’s always so hard to lose a good friend, and Steve was a good friend. I first met Steve many, many years ago when we lived across the street from his family on Kickapoo Rd. in Belmont. Steve was a few years younger than most of the other boys on our block but he was very insistent in hanging out with all of us!! We all thought he was a pain in the rear, but we let him into the fold!! Steve, I so enjoyed your ‘Celebration of Life’ a few weeks ago. I got to say goodbye and give you a big hug in person. Rest in Peace my friend, I know that you are wrapped in the loving arms of Our Lord. I love you.

  9. My time with my friend Steve working together at the Army Depot, playing softball together, attending Free Methodist church together and the 4th of July fireworks are vivid memories that I have cherished for years, I miss my friend today. To his family, my heart hurts for you as well may we all look to Christ to help with our grief.
