Skip Kuhns, 77, passed away peacefully at home with his family and dogs by his side on Monday, September 15, 2025.
Survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol; daughter, Jennifer (Richard) Prince; loving grandchildren, Alex and Anna Prince; sisters, Ann Clementi, Cheryl Trujillo, and Donna Rashied; sister-in-law, Kathleen Ayres; brother-in-law, Don (Julie) Ferguson; nieces and nephews, Mark, Billy, Kristian, Greg, Tracy, Chris, Marianne, Melissa, Jeremy, and Noel who he loved dearly; close distant relatives, Mickey (Shawn) Kolesarek, Andy (Joan) Kolesarek, Michael (Kathy) Moon; and the Obirn and Kuhns family who originated in Cincinnati.
Preceded in death by his mother, Ann Copley; father, Norman L. Kuhns; loving grandmother, Anna Kolesarek; and brother-in-law, Bill Ayres.
Skippy was owner of Chevy Auto Dismantlers and after retirement drove a school bus for District 60 and 70. He held many offices with the Arie 4471 Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Skip belonged to the Southern Colorado Corvette Club and the Outlaws Club.
His family wants to thank all the family and friends for supporting Skip throughout his life. He also loved his many 4-legged friends that they have owned over the years and his current dogs, BeauJon, Chip, Bella and Gizmo. He chose to enter hospice and return home to be with his family. Once home the dogs laid by his side to the end.
Rosary followed by funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at St. Paul the Apostle 1132 W. Oro Grande Dr., Pueblo West. Celebration of life at the Eagles, 348 S. McCulloch Blvd. following the Mass. He was loved by all. You could always find Skip by following his laugh. We invite everyone to dress in street rod attire in honor of Skip.
