Celebration of Life:

Sharon Lee Pacheck, 74, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away on November 5, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert and Janice Overholser; and her sister, Patricia Bliss.

Sharon was born on October 5, 1949, to Robert and Janice Overholser in Diagonal, Iowa. When Sharon was young, her family moved to Boulder, Colorado where she spent the rest of her childhood growing up under the Flatirons she thought brought her energy. After she graduated from Boulder High School in 1968, she went on to graduate from Parks College, Denver in 1970. In that significant year, she united with Edward Pacheck, embarking on a life filled with adventures.

Their journey crisscrossed the country, with each new home becoming a canvas for the creation of magical moments and cherished traditions. Starting their life in San Diego, they welcomed their eldest son into the world and embraced the challenges of Navy life. San Diego held a special place in Sharon’s heart, and she passed on her most treasured tradition of visiting Point Loma Lighthouse, watching Ed’s ship depart with both her sons and grandchildren, turning each summer into a celebration of family origins. Venturing to the northeast, Sharon welcomed her second son into the world, shaping a life filled with traditions, magic, and vibrant celebrations of seasons, holidays, birthdays, and vacations. Returning to Colorado, she continued to infuse light, love, and lasting traditions that will endure through generations. Sharon was a creator of magic.

A rare soul who lived entirely for others, she possessed the remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel supremely valued. Her absence leaves an irreplaceable void, felt deeply by her husband, Edward Pacheck; brother, Duane Overholser; son, Justin Pacheck; son, Jason Pacheck (Kate); granddaughter, Isabella Pacheck; grandsons, Jim and Robert Pacheck; and brother-in-law, Rockie Bliss. Sharon’s legacy will live on through the enduring light of her love and the traditions she so passionately crafted.

Services will be held in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel on Tuesday, November 14th at 1:30 PM, followed by burial at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Memorials should be directed to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or https://donate.cancer.org/?campaign=default&lang=en or Rocky Mountain Cancer Center, 525 W 15th St Ste. 200, Pueblo, CO 81003.
