Rayetta Marie Compton, 72, born Jan. 5, 1939, in Pueblo, passed away April 23, 2010. Survived by her sister, Norma Jean Mieras of Reno, Nev.; nephews, Scott Mieras of New Zealand and Michael Mieras of Reno, Nev.; niece, Sandee Artieri of Washington, Calf.; numerous great-nieces and nephews, Jessica Nix, Ian Wood, Nichole, Sean and Lauren Artieri, Sophie, Amelia, Taylor, Kolt and Destry Mieras; and seven great-great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Newman Compton.
Viewing from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Graveside service, 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Mountain View Cemetery. My thoughts and prayers are with Rayetta’s family. I am a classmate of her and I remember her dimble and that pretty smile of hers and her penmanship was so pretty.
