Norma Jean Walter, 88, of Pueblo, Colorado passed away on December 6, 2025. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Kenneth C. Walter; parents Carmen George and Divina Morrone; siblings Edith Kralich, George Morrone, and John Morrone.
She is survived by her loving son Kevin (Devona) Walter and her three grandchildren Ryan, Kenneth, and Divina Walter. She is also survived by her nephew John Morrone whom she raised as her own son; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, and her furry grand-dog Murphy.
Norma Jean was a dedicated mother and worked in sales later in life. She could sell anything to anyone, including fireworks as part of the family business. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed watching The Catholic Mass three times a day on EWTN. She helped to raise her three grandchildren from birth and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with Ryan, Kenny, and Divina. Norma Jean “Dolly” had a bursting personality that left everyone laughing and everyone felt loved and included in her presence.
The Walter Family would like to extend our sincere thank you to the staff at the Villa Pueblo, specifically the rehab unit for the care and compassion they showed our mother/grandmother and family.

Guestbook

  1. CandleImageKevin, Norma Jean was my little short friend. I would always tell her. She is even tinier than me. We talked every day and she always called me little Dolly and always asked how I was. I’m going to really miss her. I loved her so much Giovonna

  2. I am so sorry to learn of your mom’s passing Kevin and Family. My sincere condolences.

  3. CandleImageNorma Jean, the Lord broke the mold when he made you! I have so many wonderful memories of you making my Mother and I laugh. You were hilarious, selfless, and compassionate. When I lost my Mother, I don’t think anyone went out of their way to constantly ask how my Dad and I were doing more than you. The love your children and grandchildren have for you is a clear sign of a pure soul, and a life well lived. Much love to the Walter, Morrone and Mantelli families during this difficult time. Rest in Peace Norma Jean.

  4. Norma Jean was a great neighbor, always ready to give a helping hand to anyone. She had some super great grandkids who I got to watch grow up, a very nice son, daughter in law and a nephew who were often around too. We shared food and tales over the back fence. She was a wonderful cook and kept her house spotless!! I will miss our phone conversations greatly!
    Love and blessings.

  6. CandleImageWe first had the pleasure of meeting Norma Jean December 1992 we bought the home right across the street from her and her beloved husband Kenny. She welcomed us by asking us “to get rid of the big ugly blue spruce tree that was plastered up against your house” we tore down the “ugly blue spruce tree” and from that day forward she accepted us as part of her family. We had so many great memories living across the street. Norman Jean will be greatly missed but remembered fondly
