Neoma Pearl (Lile) Griffin, family and friends’ prayer warrior, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the age of 98. Neoma was born in Maysville, Missouri on June 29, 1924, to Rufus and Alpha Lile, and comes from a family of 11 children. The family moved to Pueblo when she was five years old. She was saved and was a good and faithful servant of the Lord from the age of 13. Neoma graduated from Central High School in 1942. She was married to H. Sherman Griffin. Neoma was preceded in death by her parents, Alfie and Rufus Lile; her beloved husband, H. Sherman Griffin; daughter, Lynell (Brian) Griffin Bouffard; daughters-in-law, Mary (Bill) Griffin and Leslie (Everett) Griffin; grandson, Travis Griffin and her 10 brothers and sisters.
Neoma is survived by her sons, Bill Griffin, Sherman Lee (Karen) Griffin, Everett (Deb) Griffin and special foster daughter, Rochelle (John) Hancock; sister-in-law, Aloha Lile; brother-in-law, Arvil Bates of Alabama. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; special friends, Kelly Anderson, Margaret and Jim Eichman, as well as her church family.
Viewing will take place Monday, March 13, 2023, at 10:00-10:30, followed by a celebration of life for Neoma at Pueblo Christian Center, 1605 S Pueblo Blvd, Pueblo, CO. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery. I was truly Blessed to have known Neoma Griffin. Every time I would see Neoma in church, I would see God in her countenance. I always hoped God’s light would shine thru me like God did thru her. Enjoyed her testimony.
