  4. I was with Mike when he hit his drive, past the tree, in the middle of the fairway on # 18 @ Pebble Beach. He stuck the next shot, on the par 5 with a 5 iron, then proceeded to 3 putt for an easy par! Mike was a smart ,funny, fearless person, and my friend! DC

  5. Sympathies to the Deverich family on Michael’s passing. I’ve known John and Jacqueline for many years and enjoyed meeting Michael on one of his trips to Vail. I recollect a big smile and an engaging sense of humor. God’s Blessings to Michael’s wife and children, his mother Eileen, and the Deverich family.

  6. Prayers going out to the family of Mike. I’ve known him and his sister Mary Kay for many years since high school. He is resting in peace now.

  7. Dear Deverich family. I’ve known Mike since high school and he was in my wedding. He ushered and caught the runner on 🔥 fire. It was funny and we loved him for his sense of humor. My heart breaks for all of you. He will be missed but his memory will keep you company forever. God bless you

  10. OMG! I just received a text! Michael and I were more like brothers than cousins. I really don’t have the words right now. My prayers for Toni, Eileen, Mary Kay, John, and his children 😢Rest in peace my dear friend, brother, and cousin.

  12. It’s been years since I saw Mike, but I have so many beautiful memories of him and the Deverich family! He was a great musician (just like his brother Johnny and sisters Jackie and Mary Kay) and inspired me. What wonderful days those were — listening to him and “the big group” play and sing! He even loaned me his brac until the one my parents ordered arrived. It was a gorgeous instrument…I’ll never forget that. He also drove me, and Mike Lamb, to Denver to record on an Okolitza album, and he cracked us up the whole way! Seems like yesterday even though many years have passed. My condolences to Mrs. Deverich, Mary Kay, Johnny, and Jackie, and to all of Mike’s tambura combo buddies (that is a great picture of some of “The Big Group,” as we called them), all of whom taught me so much back then. Bless every one of you at what must be a heartbreaking time.
    Love,
    Mark Oreskovich
