Born in Pueblo, Colorado

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who left us on November 11, 2025. Mike was the oldest son of Joseph and Pauline Pinelle, born on July 3, 1947. He was later joined by a sister, Paula; brother, Joseph; and sister, Lisa. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and brother; brothers-in-law, Sam Geonetta and Don Wade; and nephew, Adam Geonetta.
Mike loved bowling and started working at Bowlero Lanes at the age of 16 and continued to work at different bowling centers in the city. He purchased Bowlero Lanes in 1978. A month later he was introduced to Rona. Five months later, after their first date and short courtship, they were married. They owned Bowlero Lanes for over 33 years developing many friendships. They sold the bowling center in 2011 to his son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Michelle.
Mike and Rona were fortunate to travel to many different cities across the country to conventions and bowling tournaments. He was inducted into the Pueblo USBC Hall of Fame on 2005. He learned to play golf later in life and loved it as much as bowling.
Survivors include his wife, Rona; son, Mark and his wife, Michelle and their children, son, Clinton John (CJ), daughter, Breanne and son, Mark II. Also survived by his daughter, Julie and her husband Eric and their children, daughter, Brittany (Jonathan) and their daughter, Zoe and son, Zach. He also leaves behind his sister, Paula Geonetta and her family and his sister, Lisa De Nise and her family. Other survivors include his sister-in-law, Judy Wade and her children, Trent and Brina as well as other aunts, uncles and cousins.
At his request, there will be no funeral service. The family will hold a celebration of his life for family and friends in 2026.
Rona, Mark, Michelle and Family, I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mike. I will always remember his great welcoming smile and kindness towards all of us bowlers on Monday night. May you and your families find comfort and strength during this difficult time especially during the holidays. Mike will be greatly missed and we will all have fond memories of the times we were lucky to know him. Nancy Hamilton
My thoughts and prayers are with you Rona and your family. Mike was a wonderful person and I really enjoyed getting to know you both when I was bowling on Monday’s nights. He will be missed.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. My parents Chuck and Nita Haines lived across the street from them for many years.
Blessings and prayers,
Traci Haines

You were such a good friend since 1972 when we moved to Pueblo.
We have such good memories of our golf trips with the couples, celebrating birthday dinners, and fun get-togethers.
RIP dear friend.
Mike often had a smile on his face. Sure sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace! 🕊
So sad to see this. I’ve known Mike (and Rona) all my life, as I was a team bowler in my youth at the bowling alley. My dad also was a team bowler back in the 80s. Then down the road my daughters carried on the team bowling for some time. I also had the pleasure of joining Mike and Rona on the night league bowling with them and a few other friends. Mike was a people pleasing man. Always made sure you had a good time. It won’t be the same going to the bowling alley and not see him (and Rona) there. Rona, and extended family, know that you are in all our thoughts and prayers.
