Laura Medina (Dickens), 40, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with a rare and aggressive cancer. Laura was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose strength, kindness, and radiant spirit touched every life she encountered.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leamon Dickens, Grandparents, and a host of Uncle & Aunts.
Laura is survived by her Mother, Joen Rene Gorton, and Stepfather, Harold Leroy Gorton; her three beloved children: Da Sean Darrese Dickens, Delphina Isabella Medina, and Adam Patrick Medina; her brother, Leamon Robert Dickens and sister, Jennifer Rene Jones (Dickens); and her nieces and nephews, Leamon Dickens, Alani Kay Dickens, Raymond Jerome Jones III, Mahalia Rene Jones, and Izayah Malakai Jones. Also by Maggie Ortega (Ramon) who is like a sister.
She is also remembered by Adam Medina, father of her children. A special thank you to her Uncle Emanuel Meyers. (Ruby)
A celebration of Laura’s life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Montgomery & Steward Funeral Home in Pueblo, Colorado. Please wear purple and black, Laura’s favorite colors.
