Kurt W. Forester, 50, born April 23, 1957, in Pueblo, Colo., passed away Sept. 8, 2007, after a lengthy illness. Preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Forester. Survived by his father, Jack Forester; sisters, Dinah Torrence and Chris (Doug) Wobst; nieces and nephews, Sally, Will, Patrick, Erin, Michael, and Caitlin; and great niece and nephews, Brennan, Cierra, and Cody. At his request there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial Service, 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice, through the funeral home. Online condolences, MontgomerySteward.com
It was my deep priviledge to be one of the nurses to care for Kurt during his last days on this earth. His courage and acceptance of pain and impending death was admirable, and up to the last he maintained a wonderful sense of humor. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends in the sad loss of Kurt.
I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Kurt for over 30 years. For a very long time he was my best friend. I moved away to Denver and we lost touch. After coming back to Pueblo we reconnected and have been in touch off and on. My life is better for having had Kurt as a part of it and it will be less with him gone.
