Born in: Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin
Resided in: Pueblo West, Colorado

Kay Margaret Regalia Larson, age 67, of Pueblo West, Colorado, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by love, with her devoted husband Paul and her children Brad and Jenna by her side.

Kay was born on April 24, 1958, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, to Arnold “Pat” and Inez Regalia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Duane Regalia (Judy) and Alan Regalia (Betty).

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Larson of Pueblo West, Colorado; her son Bradley Larson (Erika) of Plano, Texas; her daughter Jenna Espy (Michael) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; her cherished grandson Jace Espy; her brother Craig Regalia (Vi) of Thornton, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Throughout her life, Kay called many places home, including Babcock, Eau Claire, and Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; Iron Mountain, Michigan; Rhinelander and Baraboo, Wisconsin; Tullahoma, Tennessee; and most recently Pueblo West, Colorado.

Kay grew up in Babcock, Wisconsin, and was a proud graduate of Pittsville High School, Class of 1976. During her senior year, she was crowned Sweetheart Queen and was voted by her classmates as having the “Best Sense of Humor”—a title that followed her throughout her life, carried by her quick wit, warm spirit, and unmistakable, contagious laughter that could light up any room.

After high school, Kay followed her creative spirit into cosmetology, becoming a licensed hair stylist. Though her work later included floral design, her greatest joy and most cherished calling was creating a loving home as a devoted mother and homemaker.

Kay poured her heart into her family and community. She volunteered at Brad and Jenna’s schools, supported their sports teams, helped with church activities, and gave her time to homeless shelters. Her generosity, thoughtfulness, and deep compassion were felt by all who knew her.

Kay had a deep appreciation for beauty and creativity. She loved flowers—especially gerbera daisies and perennials—and found joy in gardening, watching birds and butterflies, and decorating her home, particularly during the holidays. She had a natural talent for interior design and loved cooking and baking for those she cared about, often delighting in entertaining family and friends. A proud Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packers supporter, Kay enjoyed cheering on her teams alongside her family. She also loved animals and held a special place in her heart for the family dog Amber and their cats Cleo, Ariel, and Ebony. Kay had a fondness for learning about history, especially while traveling, and visited 43 of the 50 United States.

Above all else, Kay was deeply loving toward her family and close friends. She was an enthusiastic, creative, and generous soul—a proud and supportive mother and a devoted wife and grandmother. Her laughter brought happiness to everyone who heard it, and her presence brought comfort, warmth, and joy.

Her legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely, the laughter she shared so generously, and the countless lives she touched along the way.

A Celebration of Life honoring Kay Margaret Regalia Larson will be announced at a later date.

    My sincerest condolences.
I will cherish the memories of hanging out with my favorite cousin. Playing countless games of Monopoly whenever I came to visit. Kay was the most kind, thoughtful and generous person I think I’ve ever met. She always went out of her way to make me feel welcomed and appreciated. Kay I will miss you dearly.
