  2. Kate was such a special lady, I know that everyone who knew her will miss her. I remember once, years ago, when a famous singer (Peggy Lee I think) came to town and the Chorale was asked to sing backup on some of her numbers. As we waited backstage and Lee was singing onstage, Pete and Kate started waltzing. That was so sweet! And now they can dance together again, that is how I will always think of them.

My prayers go out to all of you at this difficult time.
So sorry I was unable to make her service. However, she has been in my prayers and so have all of you. Love and blessings always.

  4. Dear Paula and Mark,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. She was such a beautiful and special lady. We shared many memories in choir at Christ The King! Our prayers go out to you and your families. It’s never easy losing your mother. May God be with you all during this difficult this time. Sending hugs and prayers.

  5. Kate lived a life of grace and class. Always gracious; always glad to see you; excellent work ethic. A wonderful legacy on how to treat everyone. With deep condolences and respect of a life well lived

  6. Paula and Mark,

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your kind and loving mother. It was a pleasure growing up in the neighborhood and knowing both Pete and Kate over the years. I am sure your father was waiting to greet her at her passing and it must be comforting to know they are together again.

  7. Paula and Mark,
My sincere condolences. Kate was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known. She was always cheefrul and optimistic, and a dear friend to everyone she met. Let God comfort you at this time, knowing you will see her and your father again one day.

    Love, Linda Blazina

  8. Dear Paula and Mark,
Your Mom and Dad were such mainstays in the Chorale! Whether we sang in Pueblo or abroad with Gerhard, they were always in the picture from WAY back!. Both of you were truly blessed to have them as parents. And your Mom made everyone feel special and important, new members included. What nice photos you have for the obituary! Both of you were truly blessed to have them as parents.

Sending love, Tryna Fredregill, first alto

  9. Sincere condolences on the loss of your mom. I have such fond memories of her and your dad from Christ the King.

    Sincerely,
    Lynn (Iten) Daum

  10. Dear Paula and Mark,
So many wonderful memories of singing together, Chorale money-raising events, fun-filled tours, Monday night rehearsals and gatherings of the “coffee group” at Village Inn afterward. Your parents were very special people, who were so dear, kind, and fun loving. I think of them often, especially on Monday nights. My deepest sympathy and love to you and your families. Mary Beth

  11. Dear Paula & Mark
I always called Pete & Kate, “Mom & Pop Chorale”. They were such a mainstay of the PCS and they were SO welcoming & warm to newcomers and old-timers alike. PRECIOUS sweet people totally devoted to each other in such a beautiful way…. a wonderful (& needed) example of dedication to each other!!!
My heart breaks with you for your loss, and please know how much both your parents impacted others’ lives in such a positive way! !❤️🙏🎶

  12. Paula and Mark, I’m so sorry for the loss of your special mom. As you both know, your mom (and dad), we’re such a big part of my life growing up in Pueblo. I have smiled many times over the years remembering all of the special memories of your mom. From camping trips to many Midnight Masses and the cookies and goodies that
followed at your kitchen table… It hurts my heart that she’s gone but makes me smile that she’s singing with your dad again. A very special lady and a life well lived! Please know I’m thinking of you both.
    Mark Luiz

  13. Dear Paula and family,
First, let me say what a lovely portrait this is of your dear mother, but then, she was a very lovely and gracious lady. I became acquainted with your parents in the early ’80s through the Symphony Chorale. They were such pillars of the group, which they continued to be in the Choral Society. My late husband knew Kate from CF&I, both working in the wire mill. When I married Tom Jagunich, another CTKer, I was able to renew my friendship with your folks. Their love and devotion for each other was obvious and a beautiful thing to witness. We should all be so lucky to have such role models. After your dad’s passing, I would often see Kate at Municipal Band concerts, the annual band concert in Westcliff and at mass, of course. We would always greet each other with “Hello, darlink!”. But I think she had many “darlinks” in her life. May God bless and comfort you all in the knowledge your dear mother lived as a good and faithful servant to so many. Rest in peace, Darlink.

  14. My parents were good friends of Kate and Pete. I got to know your mom and dad well over the years and adored them. Our families thoughts and prayers are with the Santarelli family and remembering all the happy times.

  15. My Dear MOM, I’ll miss you forever. You’re with dad now and I know you’ll dance together for eternity. Our hearts are broken, but we have the beautiful memories you and dad gave us. Thank you for my life.

    Love, Paula your adoring daughter,t
    and John, your loving son-in-law.
