Joseph Robert Moran, 84, passed peacefully on August 4, 2025, surrounded by his family. Joe was born on September 30, 1940, in McCoy, Colorado, the eldest son of five children.
On September 22, 1962, he married Janice L. Moran and they spent many great years together. Janice preceded him in death on May 7, 2022. They had three children together and touched the lives of many. Joe worked on the Rio Grande Railroad and spent many years as a real estate developer in Pueblo and served in the U.S. Army. Joe and Janice were avid travelers eager to learn more about the countries and cultures they visited. While at home, Joe loved reading and studying the history of Pueblo.
He is survived by his sister, Julia Giminaro; son, Michael (Robin) Moran; daughter, Lynne Moran; son, John (Erica) Moran; adopted daughter, Perla (Larry) Askew; grandchildren, Weston, Whitney, Lukas, Raelynne, and Austin; and by various nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass, 9:30 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 414 W. 11th St. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery at a later date.
