Jim Lee Gallegor, 87, passed away on Jan. 5, 2023. Survived by son, Jimmie Duane Galleger of Pueblo; sister, Joyce Seeley of Pueblo; brother, Jerry Gallegor of Canon City; granddaughters, Adrienne (David) Bash of Houston, Texas and Alicia (Dustin) Heard of Denver; and great-grandson, Quinn Bash. Preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Gallegor; and son, Donald Lee Gallegor.
Jim was born to Edward and Pauline Gallegos on Oct. 26, 1935, in Gardner, Colo. He worked for CF&I for 40 years. He enjoyed sports, the Denver Broncos, the Colorado Rockies, and was a Colorado Buffalo Football season ticket holder for 40 years. Jim loved fishing, GM cars, and animals (especially canines.) He was a proud United Steelworker of America union member and a proud Democrat member of the Democratic Party.
Cremation by Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. It sadden me to learn the my Union Brother has Passed. He was a great guy Last time I saw him
was before Covid at a SOAR meeting, always a pleasure to chat with him.
So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. Always loved traveling with “Poppa Jim” to watch his beloved CU Buffs.
