James L. Campbell, 74, passed away August 27, 2023. Survived by his wife of 21 years, Linda S. Campbell; children, David Campbell, Jessie Campbell, Molly (John) Romero; grandson, Nikolas “Niko” Davila; brother, Robert (Patricia) Campbell; and his cousin, Father Ken Moody. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Agnes Campbell; siblings, Thomas Campbell, Rita Dyer, and Elizabeth Campbell. James was born on August 5, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York to Thomas J. and Agnes (Keaveny) Campbell. Although he was born in Brooklyn, New York he always considered Dallas, Texas his home. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks fan and would make sure to watch them every time they were televised. He enjoyed talking sports with his grandson, Niko, especially basketball. James served as assistant manager of the Dillard’s store in Pueblo and later was transferred to Idaho, where he was the manager of the Dillard’s store there for 14 years before he retired. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. A private family service will be held at a later date. May Jim find peace in his journey to heaven. He loved my sister, his sons and our family with all his heart. I know he leaves a hole in Linda’s heart and my compassion and love goes out to all of hem.
