James Edward Woods III

James Edward Woods III, 82, passed away Aug. 29, 2022. Survived by his wife of 36 years, LeAnne Woods; son, James E. Woods of California; daughters, Susan D Nattrass, of California and Janis M. Dalessandro of Rancho Bernardo, Calif.; sister, Patricia (John) Wilson of La Habra, Calif; brother, Michael E. (Lillian) Woods of Clinton, Mo.; grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, James Edward Woods II; mother, Jacqueline F. McQuown; brother in-law, John Wilson; and sister-in-law, Lillian Woods.
Born Sept. 7, 1939, in Kansas City, Mo. James served in the U.S. Army as a fixed wing pilot and in the Colorado National Guard as a BLM-Fireman. He retired from the Pueblo Chemical Depot. James loved history, flying, skiing, camping, fishing, animals and music. He especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family. His greatest love was his wife, LeAnne.
