Gilbert Leslie Pryor, also known affectionately as Gib, passed away on August 5, 2023, in Pueblo, Colorado, at the age of 79. He was born on March 9, 1944, in Pueblo, Colorado. Gib, a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Gib was a gentle, loving man who faced a long battle with cancer with strength and grace. Throughout his illness, he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. On his final day, surrounded by his wife, children, his beloved Maddie Girl, and many family members, he showed his unwavering love for them, which meant more to him than anything else.
Gib enjoyed various hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation. He found solace in fishing, tying flies, and golfing. Gib also possessed an exceptional talent for woodworking, creating beautiful pieces with his skilled hands. He had a compassionate heart for all living creatures and took great pleasure in caring for his birds, kittens, and dogs.
Gib leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Judy Pryor, and their children, Bradley (Dana) Pryor and Krissy Lynne (Dino) Spinuzzi. He was a proud grandfather to Matthew (Jason) Pryor-Hurt, Niklas Spinuzzi, and Nathan (Christina) Spinuzzi. Gib was also blessed with two great-granddaughters, Sloane Spinuzzi and Rory Pryor-Hurt. He is also survived by his brother and wife, Gary and Leslie Pryor; his sister and husband, Cordell and Gaylene Sandusky; and his sister Gayle Pryor and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, Leslie and Ida Mae Pryor, preceded him in death.
Gilbert Leslie Pryor will forever be remembered for his strength, compassion, and the love he shared with his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in eternal peace.
