Elliott Milam, 86, joined his Lord and Savior Sunday, April 17, 2022. He was born to Willie and Onabelle Milam on Feb. 11, 1936 in San Antonio Texas. He is survived by his children, Cheryl (Ken) Gregory of Pueblo, and Randy (Ginger) Milam of Canon City. He is also survived by his wonderful grandkids Michelle (Josh Bell), Julie Milam, Bryan (Kim) Gregory, Ashley Milam, and Shawn (Darci Milam), along with his great-grandchildren, Ian Bell, Elden Milam, and Taya Milam. He is also survived by his sisters, Frances Royall and Dorothy McMullen. He is preceded in death by his bride, Glenda Milam; grandson, Keith Milam; his parents; his brothers, William, Charles, Richard and Homer; and his sister, Joyce-Ann.
He lived in Texas until he was 16, when his family moved to Pueblo Colo. to pursue a life in farming. After graduating from County High School he joined the Army where he served for two years. During which time he met Glenda, the love of his life for 64 years. They were longtime members of Lynn Gardens Baptist Church where he served as deacon for over 30 years, Sunday school director/teacher, and youth director, among just a few of the roles he served. He never hesitated to open his home for missionaries or visitors of the church. He was known for his mentorship, welcoming spirit and witty sense of humor. He worked for the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad for 28 years as a carman until his retirement in 1987. He enjoyed his retirement by spending time with family and friends. However, one of his greatest joys was being a grandpa and spoiling his grandchildren. He was known for his unwavering walk with Christ, lively antics, made up song lyrics, and bottomless bowls of ice cream. He made sure that all who met him knew he was fat, sassy, and good looking.

So sad to read of another family loss for you all. God bless him as he dances with his love Glenda. Prayers from your California Ray Brooks cousins. May God be with you all as you celebrate their lives. Hugs, Terri and Carole
Elliott was such a sweet cousin and welcomed all family with open arms. Where ever he was he held court on laughter and kindness. We will carry those memories always. Prayers to his family.
Elliott was one of my favorite person to talk to at Lyn Gardens. He was always ornery and full of life. He always had a smile on his face. His wife and him will forever be in my heart.
Randy, Cheryl and family;
Sandy and I are saddened for the news in todays paper, yet we can’t help but rejoice that this very special man is reunited with Glenda! Boy the memories we have of these two wonderful people. What a re-union is coming. We will not be able to come to his going home celebration as Sandy will be receiving her 11th radiation treatment (out of 25) at the Dorcy Cancer Center that morning. Be assured we will be thinking of the family, and praying that God will surround you with His Peace, knowing we will see him again. Love, Mannon, Sandy, Tobi (and Patric) Lukehart.
One of my favorite cousins, we tormented each other, laughed together, played together and loved one another. I’m sure he’s in heaven with Bob telling those silly stories they both loved. Well done and God’s blessings.
I have had so many thoughts run thru my head these past two days, I spent so much time time in the Elliot Miliam home. Our life in Pueblo started in the Miliam home. I think my most fondest thought of Elliot is the fact that even at 59 years old I could walk in his home and felt like a kid again, safe and loved. My Dad thought the world of you Elliot.I hope God has a crown big enough for all the jewels you’ve earned. And I bet you are finally young and handsome my friend. Think you for leaving such a huge mark on my heart (and not on my head) you are a legend
I have so many memories of your dad. The times at church and youth group. Being at your house spending time with Cheryl . He is at peace now with your mom
