Edwin Eugene Jensen, 93, entered his heavenly home on December 21, 2023. He was born July 22, 1930, to Hans and Ila (Kreider) Jensen in Pueblo, Colo. Ed was a retired rancher and realtor. He was an active member of the Faith Baptist Church in Fowler for nearly 60 years.
To Ed, his priorities were his family, church and his relationship with his Lord. In December of 1954, Ed married Cleora Ellis. To this union was added their daughters, Janice and Julie. Cleora preceded Ed in death in the spring of 2007.
After a short courtship, Ed married Polly Seyferth. This union brought several additional caring children, grandchildren and even great, great grandchildren into their new home.
Ed and Polly recently celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary this past November.
Surviving family members are: Janice (Sean) McMullen, Fowler and Julie (Jerry) Ashida, Colorado Springs; Jim Wilson, Rocky Ford and Donna (Larry) Johnson, Yuma, AZ. Sisters: Joan Jensen, OR and Carol (Keith) Eberhart, WA. Grand children: Michelle (Dameon) Snook, Pueblo; Monty (Tanya) Moyers, Rocky Ford; Jamie Moyers, Fowler; Jarrod (Shannon) Ashida, Colorado Springs; Jeremy (Brittany) Ashida, Monument; Jayde (Jabez) Addy, Colorado Springs; Audra (Nathan) Richmond, MD; Heather (Ben) Johnson, Rocky Ford; Jennifer (Kyle) Scofield, Las Animas; Ryan Ehrlich, Rye; Alisha (Crispin) Miell, Cheraw and 29 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Ila Jensen, wife, Cleora Jensen, and great granddaughter, Dakota Netherton.
Services for Ed will be on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Fowler. Interment, Fowler Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to the Joni Fair Hospice House. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward.com
