Dorothy E. Hess

Dorothy Elizabeth Hess, 96, passed away April 18, 2018. She was born to George and Eunice (Root) Beck on Oct. 19, 1921, in Alva, Okla. Survived by children, Linda (Eldon) Dirks of Cimarron, Kan., Dennis (Linda) Hess of Great Bend, Kan., and Debbie (Jack) Skelton of Pueblo, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Harold Hess; parents; son, Duane Hess; granddaughter, Mollie Skelton; brothers, Albert Beck and Alfred Beck; and sisters, Gloria Fisher and Etta Havercroft. She was a devoted wife and mother, enjoyed cooking big meals for her family and friends, had a keen sense of humor and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Funeral service has taken place.
