Catherine Ann (Krause) Anderson passed away on February 17, 2026, in Pueblo, Colorado.
Born on January 30, 1937, Catherine graduated from Centennial High School in 1955. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Colorado State College (now CSU-Pueblo) and a Master of Arts degree from Adams State College. Catherine dedicated her career to education, teaching at Lake View and Somerlid Elementary Schools in District 60, where she touched the lives of many students.
Catherine was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Thelma Krause; her twin brother, William D. Krause, DVM, and his wife, Judith (Wheeler) Krause; and her son, William D. Anderson.
She is survived by her brother, Arthur (Barbara) Krause; niece, Carolyn Cady of Carlsbad, California; nephews, David (Cathy) Krause of Pueblo, Kenneth (Abbie) Krause of Beulah, and Richard Krause of Meeker, Colorado; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
A devoted member of First Presbyterian Church for over 75 years, Catherine served as an ordained Deacon and Elder, taught Sunday School, and participated in many church activities throughout the years. She was also a long-standing member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority for over fifty years and a member of Chapter BQ of P.E.O.
Catherine found great joy in volunteering at Rosemount Museum as a docent giving tours, working in the gift shop, and assisting as an auxiliary member. Her hobbies included traveling, reading, and tending to her gardens.
She was a woman of quiet strength and will be missed by those who knew her well.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 26, at 11:00 at First Presbyterian Church, 220 W. 10th St.
