Carolyn June Harriman, 96, passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017. Survived by children, Tom (Lynda) Harriman of Vancouver, Wash., Jim (Carol) Harriman of Fowler, Colo. and Donna (Ben) Barr of Peyton, Colo.; sister, Frances Thompson of King City, Calif.; six grandchildren, Jim C. Harriman of Westminster, Colo., Rick (Melissa) Harriman of Monument, Colo., Doug (Claire) Harriman of Portland, Ore., Laura (Jeff) Roark of Portland, Ore., Sheila (Joe) Cordova of Fowler, Colo. and Larry (Jewel) Reed of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 11 great-grandchildren, Mia, Zachary and Mariah Harriman, Charlie and Will Harriman, Ava, Ally and Braeden Roark, Dante and Savanna Cordova and Rand Reed; three great-great grandchildren, Emma, Corey and Jade Cordova; extended family, Mary Lou Nelson-Stephen and children; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Clark in 2003; son, Frank in 1969; great-grandson, Josh Cordova in 2009; three brothers, Harold, Merrile and Ellis Petry; step-brother, Andy (Ruth) Andersen; extended family, Margrete and Arnold Guthals, James and Kay Jensen, Elizabeth and Harold Bersagel and Harold and Virginia Jensen all of Fowler, Colo. Carolyn was born to Joseph S. 'Vess' and Ray Anita (Molholm) Petry on January 15, 1921, in rural Otero County. She was a homemaker, devoted wife and mom. Carolyn enjoyed playing golf, traveling and working in her flower garden. She especially enjoyed cooking for her family. She worked hours canning quarts and quarts of dill pickles, sweet pickles, pickled peaches, watermelon pickles, chili sauce and all kinds of fruits. Still she was always there to comfort, love and give support. Carolyn had a way of letting you know you were special and always in her thoughts. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Cottonwood Links and No. 6 Club. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017,at Trinity Lutheran Church, 409 E. Grant Ave., Fowler. Interment, Fowler Cemetery.
