Betty Jean Williams (née DeSalvo)

Betty, known to some as Jeanie, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, at the age of 89. A lifelong resident of Pueblo, Colorado, she was born there on March 14, 1936.
Betty was the devoted wife of the late Richard Williams (d. January 11, 2020). She is now reunited in Heaven with Richard, her brother Russell Jr. DeSalvo, sister Rose (DeSalvo) Jennings, and parents Russell and Francis (Papish) DeSalvo. She was a loving mother to Lonna (Williams) Stolper and Ricky Williams; cherished grandma to Sierra (Williams) Stanford and Shea Williams; and proud great-grandma to Kolbe Stanford. Betty was also a second mother to many nieces, nephews, children’s friends, and anyone needing kindness or support. Her love and dedication to Richard and her family were at the heart of everything she did—she always put them first, offering unwavering support, selflessness, and priority to their needs above her own.
Known for her constant smile, quick wit, strength, and generous spirit, Betty made everyone feel loved and valued. Her home was a place of warmth, where she excelled as a fabulous cook—creating comforting chicken soup with homemade pasta, famous lasagna, Italian ladyfingers, and beautifully decorated cakes for all occasions, to just name a few. She also crafted cozy blankets, oven pads, homemade clothes, and countless handmade gifts with her skilled hands.
Betty’s legacy of kindness, love, and devotion to family will live on through her loved ones, stories, recipes, and cherished memories.
