Ada Virginia Frazier, 86, lifelong resident of Pueblo, Colo., passed away on Feb. 15, 2022. Virginia was born on March 13, 1935, to Ada Fiana Kachel and John Rogers Blanc. She married Jimmie Gordon Frazier in Raton, New Mexico, on April 3, 1954. Together they had four children, Jimmy Ray, John, Cindy, and Francesca.
Virginia lived a very full and interesting life filled with family, friends, and fun. She was a graduate of Pueblo Centennial High School and earned several college degrees including a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Colorado State College and a Master of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado. She had many different jobs throughout her life, but most of her professional career was with the Department of Defense, first at the Pueblo Army Depot and later at Ft. Carson.
Virginia had a very inquisitive nature and was involved in community, church and family activities. She loved reading or watching a good mystery series, celebrating holidays, traveling, and playing the slots in Cripple Creek and the Lotto. When she was not reading a book, she was likely looking for a new one, and was always ready to give a recommendation out to a fellow book lover. She was an avid bowler and bowling league member for most of her life. She spent many years volunteering with her children’s schools, 4-H Clubs, church groups and elder care issues. She also was very interested in genealogy and collected and kept track of family history and records. But there was nothing she loved more than spending time with her family. Virginia was proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and all of their accomplishments. In her later years, she devoted a lot of her time caring for her beloved great grandchildren, Trenton and Mckenzie. Virginia will be remembered and described as many things by everyone who knew her, but all will remember her as social, generous, at times formidable, strong and independent, beloved wife, a loyal friend and sibling, and a very involved mother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ada & John Blanc; husband, Jimmie G. Frazier; son, Jimmy Ray Frazier; grandson, Travis Jade Frazier of Spokane, Washington; and multiple siblings, aunts, and uncles. Her great-grandchildren, Trenton Frazier and Mckenzie Frazier, passed with her as well. She is survived by son, John (Julie) Frazier of Spokane, Washington; daughter, Cindy (Frank) Alvarado of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Francesca (Steve) Ketchum of Virginia Beach, Virginia; daughter in-law, Nancy Frazier; brother, Jim (Alberta) Blanc; sister, Geraldine (Jerry) Lane of Pueblo, Colorado; and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Eleanor, our mom so loved you, Lupe and the entire bowling team. The friendship between you all helped her so much through her darkest times and for that my sister, brother and I are forever grateful. We hope you are feeling better and hope you can join us over Memorial Day Weekend at mom’s. We will be honoring her request for a family picnic. I will be in touch as the time gets closer. Lucy

I worked with Mrs Frazier at the Education Center on Ft. Carson. She was an amazing lady.
I remember this one time she brought her scratch ticket down for me to look over because she had won big, and she wanted to make sure she had the correct amount. She did. I was so happy for her. We had a kinship since we both graduated from a school in Pueblo. I will remember her fondly and miss her dearly.
Thank you, Heather for that wonderful memory! We can picture her perfectly! She loved her scratch tickets! Francesca
