William G. "Bill" Nufer Jr., 87, passed away Nov. 2, 2012. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Rita Jean Nufer; children, Jean Marie (Jim) Steward of McHenry, Ill., Ron (Betty) Nufer of Pueblo, Catherine Ann Nufer of Omaha, Neb. and Ken (Heidi) Nufer of Pueblo; sister, Dorothy Just of Hales Corners, Wis.; brothers, Don (Carol) Nufer of Vancouver, Wash. and Leroy (Patricia) Nufer of Mundelein, Ill.; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Meta and William G. Nufer Sr.
Bill was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Chicago, Ill. He served in the U.S. Army during in WWII. Bill and Jean were married on Aug. 30, 1947, in Chicago. He retired from ABEX Corp after 40 years of service.
Viewing, 4 to 6 p.m. followed by the Rosary on Sunday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Christ the King Church, 1708 Horseshoe Dr., with Msgr.
