Yvette Bouchard

Yvette (Hogenkamp) Bouchard, 83, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, leaving behind a family and a wide circle of friends whose lives she touched with her warmth, laughter, and love.
Yvette was born in Del Rio, Texas, and though she moved to Colorado in 1971 and made it her home for the rest of her life, she never stopped being a proud Texan at heart. She dedicated 35 years of her life to shaping young minds as an elementary school teacher, most of them spent with Pueblo District 60, where generations of students came to know her patience, warmth, and genuine care.
She was also a proud member of the PEO Sisterhood, GO Chapter, and cherished the friendships she built there.
Those who knew Yvette knew a woman who lived life fully and generously. Her gardens bloomed with the same care she gave everything she touched, and her camera was always ready to capture the moments that mattered. She was a wonderful cook and an even better hostess, and there was nothing she loved more than filling her home with family and friends, good food, and laughter. Animals held a special place in her heart, especially her beloved dog,
Rocco, who was never far from her side. She was a devoted, loving mother, but it was in becoming a grandmother that she found her deepest joy — her grandchildren were the light of her life. Above all else, family came first, always and without question. Yvette had a gift for making anyone feel seen, loved, and better simply for having spent time with her, and her laughter and sense of humor will be remembered and missed by everyone whose life she touched.
Yvette was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard “Pete” Bouchard; her parents, Leo and Aida Gonzalez; and her sister, Anna Ortega, who no doubt welcomed her home with open arms.
She leaves behind a legacy of love carried forward by her daughters, Allyson (Hogenkamp) Santos and Natasha Hogenkamp-Wright (Andrew Wright); her cherished grandchildren, Riley Santos, Zane Santos, and Jaxson Wright; her sister, Cynthia Zertuchi; and her brother-in-law, Ernie Ortega.
Yvette will be dearly, deeply missed — by her family and by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of everyone she leaves behind.
Funeral arrangements will be held in the Fall of 2026. The date will be announced at a later time.
