Wyvonna J. Widener, 76, of Pueblo, Colo., passed away June 25, 2007, at the University Park Care Center, after a long illness. Preceded in death by her husband, Gene Widener, on June 8, 2003. Survived by her daughter, Jean (Kenneth) Hill of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; son, John (Margo) Mylott of Muscatine, Iowa; grandson -- Russell Ben (Marci) Mylott of Muscatine, Iowa; cousins, Jewell Adams of Pueblo, Cheryl (Jim) Williams of Pueblo, Chuck (Maggie) Curtis of Como, Colo. and Virginia (Jim) Tague of Gallatin, Mo.; extra special friends, Pat and Sam Jones, Barb and Bill Krasovec, and all her friends from Belmont Baptist Church in Pueblo. Wyvonna was born in Gilman City, Mo. on Aug. 21, 1930. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State University and taught mentally handicapped children in Cameron, Mo. for many years. She and her husband, Gene, also ran Crossroads Christian Book Store in Cameron, Mo. for many years. They moved to Pueblo in early 90's where Gene pastored several Baptist churches and Wyvonna taught Sunday School, which she dearly loved doing. She also enjoyed reading every book she could find, doing puzzles, teaching Bible study and Sunday School. She will be missed by her family and friends, but she has joined her husband in heaven and is happy and finally at peace. There will be no viewing. Private committal, Mountain View Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2007, at Belmont Baptist Church, 1401 Jerry Murphy Rd., with Pastor David Campos officiating.
