William R. Bruce, 89, passed away September 13, 2003, in Pueblo, Colorado. Survived by his wife, Mary M. Bruce; son, W. G. 'Gary' (Linda) Bruce of Denver; stepsons, John (Margy) Veatch of Dallas and Daniel (Lorene) Veatch of Sisseton, South Dakota; stepdaughter, Lynette Brewer of Winfield, Kansas; brother, Leslie Bruce of Pueblo; 3 grandchildren;10 step-grandchildren; and 9 step-great-great grandchildren. William was born to George and Mary Belle Bruce on March 1, 1914, in Pueblo and married Mary on August 2, 1964, in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. William retired as an engineer from Denver Rio Grande Western Railroad in 1974, after 37 years of service. Member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 90. At his request, there will be no viewing or services. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium.
