William Darrell Smith, 67, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 22, 2011. Survived by his daughters, Dacia (Jeff) Shaw and Cindy (Rob) Smith-Zajkowski; grandchildren, Parker Shaw, Carson Shaw, Brady Shaw, Brittany Szost, Ben Szost and Travis Zajkowski; stepfather, Walter Davis; brother, James R. Smith; sister, Ronda Stine; close friend, Al Paxson; dogs, Bogey and Luke; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Preceded in death by his father, Raymond Smith; mother, Martha Davis; daughter, Tamra Smith; and nephew, Danny Scott.
William was born Sept. 4, 1944, in Bloomington, Ill. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.
