William C. 'Bill' Ethridge, 84, of Pueblo, Colo., passed away April 10, 2007. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Ethridge; children, William R. (Sharon) Ethridge of Kansas City, Kans., Nancy L. Ethridge of Prescott, Ariz., Linda S. (Jim) Campbell of Pocatello, Idaho, Deborah K. (Donald) Metz of Colorado Springs and Emily I. Jacobson of Pueblo; grandchildren, Chris (Bernie) and Jennifer McDonald, Molly (Alex) Davila, Jessie Campbell, Brandon, Todd and Kaitlyn Metz and Sabre (Benjamin) Donovan; great-grandchildren, Abigail McDonald and Niko Davila; brothers-in-law, Raymond Moore of Meridian, Miss. and Earl Brown of Montgomery, Ala. Bill was born to Mark and Myrtle Ethridge on June 30, 1922, in Meridian, Miss., and was preceded in death by all seven of his siblings. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a sales representative for Rocky Mountain Bank Note and retired after 39 years of service. He was an avid golfer and loved baseball and woodworking. Most importantly, Bill was a wonderful husband and father. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church for 60 years where he volunteered in many capacities, was on the Board of Trustees and a member of the church choir. He was also a 48 year member of Silver State Lodge No. 95, A.F.&A.M. As per his request, there will be no viewing. Funeral service, 2 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2007, at First United Methodist Church, 11th & Court, with the Reverend Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating and concluding with Masonic Rites. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Sangre De Cristo Hospice through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main Street, Pueblo, Colo. 81003.
