Willa Dee Hooper, 91, passed away May 26, 2008. Survived by her daughter, Joan (Reverend Robert) Mace of Pueblo; grandchildren, Stephen Mace, Scott (Melanie) Mace and Shari ( Steve) Olsen; great-grandchildren, Laura and Linda Mace, John and Kaitlyn Olsen and Makayla Mace; nephews and niece. Preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert G. Hooper on Nov. 9, 1994. Willa was born to Charley and Delpha Pitts on Aug. 31, 1916, in Polk County, Mo. Willa and Gilbert moved to Kansas City in the early 1940s. They owned and operated Hoopers Café for 32 years. In 1993, they moved to Pueblo to be near family. The family thanks Life Care Center and Wynwood Assisted Living for their compassionate care. Interment will take place at Hubbel Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie, Kans. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 10 University Circle, in Pueblo.
