Wilda L. McCleary, 84, passed away Feb. 26, 2015. Survived by her children, Karolyn (Steve) McKinsey, Kari (Bill) VanSickle and Bill (Celina) McCleary; grandchildren, Kelly McKinsey, Lindsie (Kenan) Sandifer, Jordan (Brenda) McCleary and Jeremy (Andrea) McCleary; ten great-grandchildren; twin sister, Wanda (Lester) Day; and numerous other family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Gerald McCleary; parents; two brothers; and six sisters. Wilda was born to Curnel and Mary Sharp on July 26, 1930, in Olney Springs and graduated from Fowler High School. She was an amazing cook, author and homemaker. All while holding a career as a Psychiatric Tech at the Colorado State Hospital. Wilda was a member of New Heights Baptist Church, enjoyed pot lucks and sewing. She and Gerald traveled all over gathering information for the family history story book she wrote. Everyone that knew her loved her. Viewing, 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at New Heights Baptist Church, 3304 Baltimore Ave. Interment, Olney Springs Cemetery. I always left those visits feeling very happy and very special. Thank you for welcoming me into your family and introducing me to Wilda.
