Wavley Larry Hufton, 71, passed away May 23, 2016. Survived by wife, Brynn Hufton; children, Donna Hufton and David Hufton; brother, Jerry (Sharon) Hufton; uncle, Tully Cherry; aunt, Evelyn Sarro; and nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by daughter, Karen Hufton; parents; and brother, Garry Hufton. Larry was born to George Woodrow Hufton and Dorothy Virginia Cherry Hufton on April 2, 1945, in Norfolk, Va. He grew up in Hickory and Chesapeake, Va. and worked as a Journeyman Electrician for 48 years, the majority of years with Larry's Electric and Refrigeration. Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing and was happiest when he was outdoors especially in the mountains. He also enjoyed country music and loved all dogs, especially Nickel. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016, at First United Methodist Church, 310 W. 11th St. Private family interment, Roselawn Cemetery. We met Larry at the Sunset Inn,his company was always enjoyed, always quick wit a joke and laughter with his stories of his adventures.he will be fondly remembered.Our thoughts and prayers at this time of loss.
