Warren W. Watts, 53, passed away June 16, 2012. Survived by his wife of 32 years, Lori Watts; daughters, Brittany and Nicole Watts; brother, Bill (Laura) Watts of Colorado Springs; sisters, Roseanna (Bob) Swope of Pueblo and Evelyn (Danny) Robinson of Wichita, Kan.; parents-in-law, Hank and Joy Bowling; and sister-in-law, Kim (John) Butkovich; two nieces and six nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Wayte and Elsie Watts. Warren was born Oct. 8, 1958, in Pueblo, Colo. He was an inspector for the Pueblo County Sheriff's Department and SWAT Team Leader. He received the highest honor of the Medal of Valor. Viewing from 3 to 5 in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Service, 11 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Praise Assembly of God, 2000 Troy Ave., with Pastor Darron Wilson officiating.     Being the media guy working with law enforcement, you’re often not liked. Sometimes they warm to you. Sometimes they don’t. But Warren was friendly from the get-go and always – always – said hello, often going out of his way to do so. I’m going to miss that . . .

  6. Words cannot describe how so sorry I am for your loss. Warren was a good friend and I had the honor of working with him for many years between the CSP and PCSO.   7. Lori and family, Iam so sorry for your loss. I worked with Warren for 10 years and he was one of my greatest mentors, someone I always looked up to and admired. He will be sadly missed, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

    I remember him from High School and enjoyed his friendship back so many years ago. I’ve heard from a few Family members in Pueblo that he was a really great member of the Sheriff’s office.

    I had the pleasure of working with Warren many years ago in the Blast Furnace’s at the CF&I. To this day if I saw Warren jogging or even at the grocery store he would always stop and ask how I was doing. He will be missed very much! May God bless your family.
