Warner H. "Pete" Peterson

Warner H. “Pete” Peterson, age 91, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, in Pueblo, Colorado. Warner was born on November 2, 1934, in Pueblo, to John and Mary Peterson and was one of four siblings. He graduated from Western State College and served in the United States Army. He ultimately settled back in Pueblo where he married his wife on October 6, 1961, worked as a State Farm Insurance Agent, and raised his family. Warner was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Peterson; his brothers, Frank and John Peterson; and his sister, JoAnn Stice. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara; his children, Dawna Nolan, Todd (Cherree) Peterson, Shelly Peterson; grandchildren, Drake (Jordyn) Carter, Tennyson (Sydney Lloyd) Carter; and great-grandchildren, Cooper and Marlo Carter. At Warner’s request, there will be no services. Memorial contributions to support compassionate hospice care may be made in the name of Warner H. Peterson to: Sangre de Cristo Community Care
