Wanda Mae Lacey, born June 5, 1932, in New Mexico. Peacefully passed from this life
on Dec. 26, 2020, at 88 years of age. She fought the good fight living by truth and love
each day.
Wanda’s career began as a barber and hairstylist in California where she made many lasting friendships, after leaving California she moved to Pueblo where she made many more friends.
Her love of the earth and gardening was her passion, sharing all the tips she had for growing and harvesting good food and the love she had for her friends.
She was predeceased by her only daughter, Karen D, Lacey. Wanda’s legacy was her love for the earth. She will be remembered by her good cheer and always trying to find fun and blessings in each day. Her faith carried her all her life. Wanda’s motto was: “Try to have a good one!” and she did…

  1. Wanda you were a light in my life. The Times we shared so full of life, laughs, and love will always be remembered by me and my family. You will always be a part of me. Fly like a bird, now you are free.

  2. Wanda was a client of mine, I handled her health insurance. I was completely shocked to hear of her passing. She was always so sharp and sweet. I could tell from the moment I met her, she was such a tenacious, independent woman. I’ll miss our conversations and her distinctive voice. My heartfelt blessings to her and may she rest in peace.

We rented one of her apartments for my Dad, Fred Rasmussen Sr. She ran her apartment building like a boss. She did an incredible job with the upkeep of her building and it really added to our neighborhood. She will be missed. ❤️
