Vladys Moss passed away July 14, 2005. She was born in 1921, in Vitebsk, Belarus. She attended the Vitebsk Music Conservatory, the Vitebsk Medical Institute, and was fluent in five languages. A longtime resident of Pueblo, Colorado, Vladys owned and operated the 'House of Flowers' on the north side of town from 1971 to 1992. She is predeceased by her husband, Dr. Walter G. Moss in 1983; her parents, Vladislaw and Suzanna Szpakowski; and her five brothers and sisters. Vladys was a creative and talented business woman who was a friend to all her customers and employees. She loved life and always had a kind word and a smile for everyone. She was an optimist. Family always came first for Vladys, and she had much love to give to her children, Victor (Rita) Moss and Mary (Duane) Janssen; her grandchildren, Paul (Rebecca) Moss, Julie Janssen, Katherine (Scott) Stafford and Natalie Janssen; and her great-grandchildren, Olivia Moss, Alexander Moss and Leo Stafford. She is also survived by her good friend, Angelina Kuimoff. We will miss her in our lives. Visitation will be at the funeral home, Saturday and Sunday, from 1 to 5 p.m. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2005, at the Montgomery & Steward Chapel.
