Virginio Aragon, 84, passed away Aug. 7, 2011. Survived by his wife, Guadalupe Aragon; children, Ben (Tina) Salazar, Alvin (Veronica) DeHerrera, Darlene (Rudy) Chavez, Sandra (Clarence) Archuleta, William Santistevan, Juan Aragon and Virg (Chuck) Abeyta; step-children, Virginia (Mike) Aguilar, Mike Sanchez, Pete (Gloria) Sanchez and Jerry (Sarah) Sanchez; brother, Alex (Cora) Aragon; brother-in-law, Jim (Bertha) DeHerrera; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Aragon on Dec. 28, 2005.
Virginio was born to Justo and Dolores Aragon on Oct. 30, 1926, in Serafina, NM. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired after 34 years of service from the PAD as an ammunition clerk. After retirement, he drove a bus for the SRDA and Colorado Blue Sky. Virginio was an active member of St. Anne Catholic Church for over 50 years.
Rosary, 7 p.m. Wednesday and funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, with Msgr. Mark Plewka as celebrant. Both services at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2701 E. 12th St.
