Virginia Consinero

Virginia Consinero, 88, passed away Nov. 6, 2010. Virginia was born Oct. 27, 1922, in Pueblo, to Joseph and Eva Latino. Preceded in death by her husband, Sam Consinero. Survived by her children, Virginia (Merlin) Arduini, Eva (Ross) Knittel and Frances (James) Valdez; sister, Rose Latino; sister-in-law, Fern Latino; grandchildren, Marla Jones, Merlin Sam Arduini, Paula (Juan) Herraez and David Arduini; great-grandchild, Nicholas Jones; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank 'Chick' (Carolyn) Latino, Charles Latino, and Tony (Mary) Latino, Rose (Joe) Juinta and Virginia (Tony) Basli. She was an excellent homemaker and loved being with her children and grandchildren. She especially loved to cook and bake, and holidays were always very meaningful to her because it was a time for family togetherness. Her family wishes to thank Dr. Phillip Woods and Dr. Dumont Clark for their loving care of Virginia over the years. A special thank you to the staff of 2500 at St. Mary Corwin Hospital. Viewing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with family receiving friends from 2 pm to 3 pm. Rosary, 6 p.m. Tuesday and funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Fr. Ben Bacino as celebrant. Both services at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 421 Clark St. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. The family may be reached at the home of Merlin and Virginia Arduini.
