Resided in: Pueblo, CO

It is with heavy hearts we share the sudden loss of our beloved mother Vicenta L. Martinez. She was known as Vicky by her loved ones and friends. Vicky was born August 31, 1938, in Burns Canyon, New Mexico, and received her angel wings on January 23, 2023, with her loving husband by her side. At the time of her passing, she was 84 years of age and resided in Pueblo, CO.

Vicky was a very beautiful loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She loved her family enormously and dedicated her life to being the wonderful wife and mother she was. She enjoyed gardening and filled her home with love and the beautiful flowers she so loved to grow. For nearly 68 years she enjoyed her beautiful home with her beloved husband, Leo, who she cared for in her later years. Vicky shared her cooking skills as the chef at The Prospector Restaurant south of Leadville for many years followed by several years working in the school cafeterias. She so enjoyed the many friends she was so fortunate to have in the Leadville community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Rosa Archuleta; her three sons, Melvin, Bruce, and Stanley Martinez; four siblings and many family relatives.

Vicky is survived by her adoring loving husband of 68 years, Leo B. Martinez; her sons, Alvin and Joseph Martinez; daughters, Janet and Melinda Martinez, and Vickie Garcia. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The Family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the sympathy, comforting words, prayers, and all expressions of kindness and concern. May God continue to bless you. Services for our beloved wife and mother are pending.
