Verona Frances Miller was born November 26, 1926, and went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2010. Preceded in death by her parents Edward J. and Vivian A. Henley Sr.; her husband Ray W. Miller and daughter Clarice; brothers Edward J. Henley, Jr. and Vernon E. Henley and sister Vivian A. Koman. Survived by sons Michael H. Sylvia, Jr. of Rye and Kevin J. Sylvia of Pueblo; grandchildren Michelle (Herb) Thornton, Shannon (David) Manzanares, Sean Scott, Bryan (Katrina) Scott-Sylvia, Stephanie Scott-Sylvia and Kristofer Kuszynski; seven great-grand children and numerous nieces and nephews. She was an active member of the Pueblo Zoological Society and enjoyed the last 15 years working with concessions, party planning, historical cataloguing, and contacting schools for educational events at the Pueblo Zoo. The family sends a special thank-you to the wonderful staff members at the Pueblo Zoo for all of their love, friendship and support throughout the years. Verona was a long time member and dedicated steward of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. She was also a member of the Altar Society and the Senior Citizens of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Her life was devoted to loving God, her family and to helping others. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2010, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 11th and Court, followed by the interment at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
