Velma Rose Winch [nee Riggio, Zupancic] passed on Jan. 15, 2017. She was born Jan. 11, 1931, to Nick Riggio and Mary Ganatta in Pueblo. She was a loving mother who cared deeply for her family. She most enjoyed time with her grandchildren and handicrafts. Survived by children, John (Linda) Zupancic, Lyn (Mike) Gott, Roberta (Mike) Trani, Jeff (Therese) Zupancic, Gary Zupancic and Mary (Scott) Kelver; sisters, Jacqueline Riggio and Nina Templeman; grandchildren, Melanie Marvin, Kris Gott, Jeni Zawadowski, Amity Rose Vacarella, Yuri Zupancic, Nick Bates, Dustin Kelver, Ivy Crouse, Jami Blackford, Alexis Rose Grace, Luke Perse and Giavanna Zupancic; great-grandchildren, Danica Rose Mynhier, Kassidy Marvin, Kaeden Talbot, Bailey Gott, Kristopher Gott, Amelia Zawadowski, Berkely Zawadowski, Caylix Grace, Ethan Kelver, Braeli Blackford, Owen Blackford, Presley Blackford, Isabella Bates, Anthony Vacarella, Althea Rose Vacarella, Zola Crouse and Violet Crouse. Velma also had three stepsons, Wayne Winch, Barry Winch and Tim Winch. Preceded in death by husbands, John Zupancic and Ralph Winch; daughter, Denise Perse; siblings Josephine Elich, Frank Riggio and Charles Riggio; grandson, Taylor Perse; and great-grandson, Tayler Hefty. Viewing, 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at St. Mary Church, 307 E. Mesa Ave. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com.
