  1. Van – You were the kindest giant man I know, we only knew each other a few short years. At work no matter how much I picked on you, you always took it well and gave it back too. When we went trail riding you always rode slower than you could to make sure the slow guys were alright. Having lost my fellow-racer little brother last November, I saw him after that everyday in you, and that carried me through tough times, he was a lot like you in his large stature yet gentle disposition and could ride the wheels off a dirtbike. Van, you look for him up there and keep each other company, until I can join you. Thank you for your friendship and brotherhood. We miss you.
    Lance Brauch

  2. Mark, I am sorry for your loss . We are going to miss Van coming in to
Tote- Gote and bench racing. He will be in our thoughts and prayers.

  3. To the family of Van….
I met Van when he supervised a group of trustees for the Labor Crew for the Pueblo County Court House Maintenance section. He was such a kind man, a gentle giant that all of the trustees he supervised, respected. The Deputies who worked at PCSO Work Release enjoyed working everyday with Van. He was friendly, hard working and loved by all of us who got to know him while he was a Pueblo County Supervisor. He LOVED motorcycles and talked often of his love for riding all different types of motorcycles. I especially cared for him, because he was just such a wonderful person. I am shocked and saddened by his untimely passing. Please know that YOU all are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless and keep you during this difficult time.
