Valton Allen Monkres

Valton Allen Monkres, 89, passed away on March 25, 2012. Survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Fe Monkres; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his first wife, Pearl Monkres; parents, Ethel and Julius Monkres; and 11 brothers and sisters. Allen was born in Leon, Okla., on Dec. 21, 1922. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and was a former POW. Allen was a social worker for the State of Colorado and enjoyed watching sports. Viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, followed by a Rosary in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at St. Mary Church, 307 E.
