Twylia Faye Califano, 84, of Pueblo, went to be with the Lord and her son, Doug, on Oct. 31, 2017. She was born on Aug. 27,1933, in Perryton, Texas. Twylia is survived by her husband of 65 years, Carl, the love of her life. She is also survived by her sons, Carl (Paula) Jerry (Cheryl) and her daughter, Katherine; grandchildren, John, Carla and Linh, Alexis and Dominic, Jordan and Matthew, Marissa, Kyle and Kayleigh; great-grandchildren, Gage, Allie, Ryker, Sarah, Taylor, Jackson, Nate, Gabriel, Gavin, Sofia, Jackson, Mya and Grayson, Kimberely, Katherine and Peter; as well as numerous members of the Califano, Allen, Gurovich, Rivas and Gallegos families. Twylia was ferociously protective and unabashedly proud of her children and family. She enjoyed bowling, garden club and bragging about her family. Twylia made many friends during her lifetime, including her work colleagues and the staff and residents of Brookdale Senior Living. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, St. Mary Church, 307 E. I was so sorry to hear bout the passing of Twylia. My mom is a resident at Brookedale and I would greet Twylia and Carl every evening for dinner while visiting. She and my mom enjoyed one another’s company and were always so kind to one another.
She will be greatly missed by all of us…the dining room just isn’t the same.
