Treesa M. Francis 53, passed away Dec. 25, 2004, in Pueblo, Colorado. Survived by her husband, Edmund Francis of the family home; mother, Jo Alma Cross; children, Scott Francis, Kevin (Mary) Francis, Brett (Tracy Young) Francis and Alisa (Timothy Dabbert) Francis; brother, William 'Bud' (Nancy) Nickell; niece and nephew, Lexa and Luke Nickell; special friends, Kevin (René) Concialdi, Norm, Brittany and Matthew Vail and all of the Vail family, Trish Nelson, Lynda Vigil, Sheila Hackworth, Melinda Hunter, Carol Ricken, Dakota and Sydney Purkey. Preceded in death by her father, William L. Nickell in 1954. Treesa was born May 25, 1951, in Limon, Colorado and had been a longtime Pueblo resident. She was very involved with her family. As a school educational assistant she was very dedicated not only to her own children but also the children she taught. Known as KA USL, Tree was a ham radio enthusiast involved with many missions of the Pueblo Ham Club. There will be viewing at the funeral home on Tuesday (Dec. 28, 2004) from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. with family receiving friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at the Central Christian Church, 1902 N. Hudson, with Chaplain Melinda Baber officiating. Cremation will follow at Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice c/o Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO 81003.     I’m so sorry for your loss, Treesa was a great women and I will always remember her and her gentle kindness to people. She was a specail gal to me when I was attending Center Beauty College and she would come in and get her hair done, and I will always remember when Carl was playing Tennis how you and your family were always so kind to all of us! Rest in peace Tressa you will always have a special place in your heart with me.   2. Francis Family; I am a second cousin of Treesa. I was in Grand Junction for Xmas and spent a week there with my grandchildren and was so sad to hear the news. Sorry that I wasn’t able to attend the funeral. My prayers are with all of you.

  3. Hi everyone. I just found out this evening that Teresa had passed away. Jeri Bravo was up for New Years and told me. I don’t get the paper and I’m very sorry I did not make it to the funeral. I am mailing a card for the family and one for Alisa. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.

    Carol and I were so sorry to hear of Tree’s passing. It seems not that long ago, Ed, when at my mother’s memorial service you told me of her illness. I’m sorry we cannot attend Tree’s services but you will be in our thoughts and hearts today.

  13. I would like to express my condolences to the Francis family.

    I knew Tressa when I was going up on Mass St. Brett and I were very good friends growing up.We were would either be playing outside or riding bikes together and getting into trouble.
    I just remember Brett’s Mom as a kind and gentle lady and was like a Mom to every kid on the block. Treesa looked out for all of us kids. We will all miss her a lot.
