Thomas R. 'Tom' Bass, 77, passed away Aug. 8, 2011. Survived by his wife, Shirley Bass; children, Kathy (Brian) Bradey of Pittstown, N.J. and Laurie Bass of Magnolia, N.J.; brothers, Carl, Verl and Sam Bass; sisters, Faye Chapel, Betty McNabb, Lois Clark, Mary Penney, Lenore Liles and Edith Cox; and grandchildren, Kelli, Molly and Megan. Preceded in death by parents, Otis and Dona Bass; three brothers; and one sister.
Tom was born June 26, 1934, in Claredon, Texas. Tom and Shirley married Oct. 2, 1955, at Tabor Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from C.F.&I. as a payroll clerk in June 1996. He was a member of the Model 'T' Club.
Service, 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor Cindy Jacobson officiating. Military honors by Pueblo Veterans' Ritual Team and interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Online condolences, MontgomerySteward.com

I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Shirley, You and Tom were two of the kindest people we knew. Tom was quiet and kind. Tom worked with him at CF & I and said he was a joy to work with. The two of you were so close so we know you will miss him “much”. Our sympathy and love to you and your children.
